Enticing cherry, plum and berry aromas with some earthy, forestry traces; lively, full, long flavour within a medium body with silky tannins and slippery 'mouthfeel'. Really seductive stuff! The fruit for the 2010 Lethbridge Ménage a Noir Geelong Regional Pinot Noir is sourced from the Bannockburn sub-region of the Geelong GI. The aim for the Ménage series wines is to produce a wine with a strong regional signature within the overall house style made at Lethbridge Wines. All batches are picked and fermented separately and the final blend assembled just prior to bottling. Picking was done by hand and fruit was 100% destemmed. Pre-fermentation maceration ensued for approximately 7-10 days until indigenous yeast fermentation started. Barrels went through natural MLF. Wines were racked twice throughout maturation period and bottled with minimal filtration.
