Pale gold in colour with a fine mousse, the wine is aromatic on the nose. On the palate, it is quite dry and shows great finesse and complexity.
Pinot Noir gives the wine richness and a long finish while Chardonnay from the finest soils of the Cote de Blancs, adds delicacy, liveliness and freshness. Pinot Meunier, mainly from the Marne Valley, gives the wine an appealing fruitiness.
Delicious as an aperitif, ‘ZD’ will also pair perfectly with seafood, fish, white meats and with soft and mouldy cheeses. ‘ZD’ is also good with sushi, Asian foods and with red berries, figs and frangipani pastries.
Zero Dosage – absolutely no sugar – makes it a perfect ‘diet’ champagne!

“Ayala is being marketed off the back of its new owners Bollinger but this stuff truly stands alone. Superb champagne, dry and crisp (ZD = zero dosage) it’s an ideal aperitif style. Refreshing and flavoursome fizz, edgy, complete and balanced.” Score 93 points
