The grapes for the Selkirk Shiraz are 100% Langhorne Creek and estate grown. Careful vineyard management and controlled yields ensure premium fruit for this distinctive Shiraz style. It is a fine example of a classic Langhorne Creek Shiraz. It has a deep, vibrant colour and offers distinctive varietal characters; a rich aroma of blackberries, complemented by spicy oak nuances. A layered, well-balanced palate structure and a persistent finish, provides a frame for the full bodied berry fruit flavours and touches of spice. Although drinking well now, it will develop with cellaring for 4+ years and therefore reward the patient. Matches well with Mediterranean foods, cheeses, red meat, poultry and risotto.
