MOMO, meaning off-spring in Maori, sprung from Seresin Estate in Marlborough, New Zealand. Reflecting this heritage, Momo selects sustainably and organically grow grapes from a small number of dedicated growers and embraces traditional winemaking. From these roots, Momo has developed its own identity, producing wines that are true to variety and reflect the essence of their fruit characters
The 2010 MOMO Sauvignon Blanc is pale in colour with light green hue. Aromas of tropical fruit and citrus with a hint of minerality. The palate is textural and rich with ripe tropical fruit and grapefruit.
The wine is balanced with good richness in the middle palate and crisp acidity to give a long and clean finish.

What the critics think
2009-  BEST BUYS: SERIOUS SIPPING SAUVIGNON BLANC FOR UNDER $20.
'Sophisticated food wine with a focus on texture rather than overt fruit character'

Bob Campbell MW -Taste Magazine - December 2008

2009 -“… this lees-aged wine is freshly herbaceous, with crisp, lively flavours of gooseberries and capsicums, a touch of complexity and good intensity…” ****
Best of NZ Winestate Magazine Annual 2008/2009

2009 -“There are about a zillion different Marlborough sauvignon blancs out there. This one is better than most. The wine shows succulent botanical aromas of leafy herbs, passionfruit and tropical fruits. The essency palate combines snappy flavours, lush texture, measured mid-palate sweetness, and zippy acidity in juicy harmony.”
Ralph Kyte-Powell - The Age December 2008
