A wine sourced from vines planted in 1982 at Barrett’s Vineyards near Drumborg. The wine is made using traditional German winemaking techniques and displays a touch of residual fruit sweetness.
Handpicked grapes were whole bunch pressed into tank for fermentation by wild yeast on partial solids.  Fermentation stopped to leave 10g/L residual sugar.
Brilliant pale straw colour. Crisp and balanced wine, rich in citrus fruit flavours – lime, orange blossom and mandarin followed by hints of musk. The off-dry, palate is complemented by fresh acidity, and finishes cleanly with lingering aromatics of lime and musk.

What the critics think
2009 – “From the Henty region, seldom mentioned in dispatches when Riesling is discussed, despite Crawford River and Seppelt Drumborg being among Australia’s best. This is made with a deliberate touch of sweetness in Mosel style, the sweetness balanced by awesome drive and acidity.” Rating 97 points
