The 2009 vintage was copybook. The growing season conditions and picking times reflected the best seen over the last 30 years. This allowed for full ripening of the grapes with the development of typical varietal flavours by the time the Semillon harvest started in mid March. The wine was fermented and matured without oak to allow the varietal characteristics to be fully expressed. This wine has an elegance and fruity fresh aroma with overtones of cut grass. The palate is clean and flavoursome with a pleasant fruit sweetness in the middle palate and a crisp, refreshing finish.
