Situated in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, Seresin Estate was established in 1992 by Michael Seresin, a New Zealand born filmmaker. 112 hectares under vine; Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Organically grown, hand tended and predominately fermented with wild yeast, the grapes at Seresin are raised on a cornerstone of working in harmony with nature. Seresin Vineyards embrace the principals of Biodynamics and traditional winemaking; hand-tending the organic vineyards and crafting wines in harmony with seasonal and celestial rhythms.

The image of the hand is a symbol of strength, gateway to the heart, tiller of the soil, the mark of the artisan, and embodies the philosophy of Seresin Estate. Our grapes, estate grown on the Wairau River's warm alluvial terraces, are picked at the close of the long Marlborough summer. In the winery, minimal intervention allows the layers of flavour to evolve, so the wines are a natural expression of the soil from which they come.

Clive says "joining Seresin gives me the opportunity to experience an Estate with a range of vineyard sites, all producing fruit with different characters and profiles - a winemakers dream! The organic/biodynamic practices used in the vineyard, working with low yields of high quality fruit, followed by the gentle processing and the extensive use of wild fermentations, is testament to wines of unique and complex characters that I enjoy."

2006 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – Best New World White Wine
“Michael Seresin is back on top form with his 10th vintage: silvery pale with great purity of fruit and a hint of greengage ripeness over the classic crisp Marlborough style, this is a hand-made wine from a magnificently healthy, organically farmed vineyard. Superb.”
Steven Spurrier – Decanter UK – May 2007

“Seresin converted its vineyards to biodynamic viticulture a few years ago, and while the wines were already good before, they’re even better now. Seresin’s sauv blanc is intense, crisp, full of vibrant classic Marlborough grapey tropical aromatics and lingering beautifully in the mouth.”
Max Allen – Gourmet Traveller Wines AUS – Aug/Sept 2007
